John Zarganis is an accomplished, self-motivated professional with 20 years of experience in large scale and high-profile events. An expert in technical and event production, as well as venue operations and logistics, he is proficient at managing projects with numerous client groups, including large multicultural teams with diverse backgrounds. His ability to have a good grasp of the “big picture” is paired with exceptional technical skills, thus enabling him to always suggest the most appropriate solutions in complex or unforeseen situations. 

Throughout his career, he has worked as a Production or Technical Director in a variety of events, festivals, broadcasts, indoor and outdoor shows and has served as a Consultant to several venues and organizations related to culture, entertainment, sports, TV broadcasts, and exhibitions.

Some of the most notable projects he managed are the Summer Nostos Festival produced by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Parlamentarium Project in Berlin, Ljubljana, and Strasbourg organized by the European Union Parliament, the Olympics Medals Plaza of the “Sochi 2014” Olympic Winter Games at Sochi, Russia, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Organising Committee of “ATHENS 2011” Special Olympics, the Hellenic Pavilion at the “Shanghai Expo 2010” in Shanghai, China, the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of Athens 2004 Olympic Games and the Greek Festival S.A. 

John Zarganis is an Electronics, computers and automation systems alumnus of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and has furthered his knowledge and professional skills by attending workshops and seminars on production, stage and venue management, audiovisual systems for venues, large scale events and broadcasts, show control and lighting systems for venues, large scale events and broadcasts, operation of outside TV broadcast units, power and electromechanical systems for large venues and large scale events, large scale set constructions and installations, modern stage technology systems, HR management, safety at work practices and safety in live performances, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Heating Ventilation & Air Condition Systems (HVAC).
