Member of the European Film Academy, Costas Labropoulos is a Greek film producer that can boast of the richest filmography in the history of contemporary Greek cinema. He was only in his teens when he started working in practically every below-the-line film crew position, before becoming a producer. His firsthand experience helped him gain the trust of acclaimed European auteurs like Theo Angelopoulos (Ulysses’ Gaze, Eternity and A Day, The Weeping Meadow) and Costa Gavras (Eden Is West, Adults In The Room). He has also produced the three biggest box-office hits in the history of Greek cinema: Sirens In The Aegean by Nikos Perakis, A Touch Of Spice by Tassos Boulmetis and Brides by Pantelis Voulgaris.
He has produced and co-produced over 200 Greek and international films, leaving his mark in the European film industry.
Costas Labropoulos is also equally active in the event production field, working for clients like Jack Morton Public Events (Opening and Closing Ceremonies of 2004 Olympic Games), Stavros Niarchos Foundation (Summer Nostos Festival), Greek Festival S.A., Municipality of Kalamata (Kalamata International Dance Festival), Ministry Of Greek Economy (Greek Pavilion, Shanghai Expo 2010), ERT/Hellenic Broadcasting Company (2006 Eurovision Song Contest), etc.
He joined View Master Films in 2010, contributing his vast experience and wide knowledge of the industry to new and ambitious projects, aiming to reach the European audience with high-quality content and projects.
